Feeding Record

Resource Properties

Abstract:

This two-page handout educates mothers about breastfeeding a newborn baby. It describes the cues a baby will demonstrate to indicate hunger. The document explains how often the mother should expect to feed the baby within the first three days, and describes how the baby's stools will change over that length of time. It provides a four-day feeding schedule where the mother can write down information about the baby's feeds, stools, and urine.
