Nutrition Outreach Toolkit: Nutrition Resource Handouts 9-19
This eleven-page document collects eleven separate handouts educating people about nutrition. The topics covered include nutrition for pregnant women and for children under 3 years old, maintaining a healthy weight for children, foods that are good sources of iron and calcium, fun and healthy snacks for children, limiting sugar and choosing healthy drinks, the negative consequences of eating too much fast food, portion sizes and healthier fast food choices, and reading nutrition labels. The document includes an illustration of foods in the five food groups, and an example of a nutrition label. The USCRI's complete Nutrition Resources are also available at www.refugees.org.
