This fourteen-page document in Kirundi and English educates people about parenting in the United States, and offers ways for parents to guide their child's development. It discusses ways to be involved as a role model, provide love and attention, and set rules. It gives advice on correcting bad behavior, choices and consequences, time-outs, and praising good behavior. The document defines child abuse and neglect, and explains the role of Child Protective Services (CPS) and the importance of community support.
