Healthy Living Toolkit: How to Manage Stress

Resource Properties

Abstract:

This six-panel brochure educates people about how to manage stress. Refugees face many new challenges that may cause stress, but if left untreated, it can be harmful or cause illness. The document outlines causes and signs of stress, and discusses ways to relieve it, including breathing and meditation, talking to close family and friends, becoming active, and eating healthy. It identifies the special need for refugee parents to pay attention to signs of stress in their children. Links for more information are provided. The USCRI's complete Healthy Living Toolkit is also available at www.refugees.org
