This two-page English-language document gives service providers working with refugees in the Somali Bantu Community Orientation program guidelines for interpreted visits. It provides steps a facilitator can take to work effectively with the family and the interpreter. It suggests pre- and post-visit conferences with the interpreter, how to direct questions, and the importance of gender and age of the interpreter.
