Iraqi Health Outreach Project: Cervical Cancer
This two-page brochure in English and Arabic educates Iraqi American women about cervical cancer, one of four types of gynecologic cancers that affect a woman’s reproductive health. It is more easily prevented than the other gynecologic cancers, and is easier to treat if detected early. The document identifies the human papillomavirus (HPV) as the main cause of cervical cancer, clarifying that it does not have any symptoms in the beginning. It discusses prevention, including the HPV vaccine and regular pap smears.
