This two-page report informs service providers working with refugees from Afghanistan. It provides a historical timeline (1747-2015), brief descriptions of methods of torture used in that country, and a synopsis of current conditions and pertinent issues facing Afghan refugees. It discusses the country's current situation, including background on human rights violations, anti-government insurgency, women's rights, land mines, and illicit drugs.
