This two-page report informs service providers working with refugees from Iran. It provides a historical timeline (550 BC-2015), brief descriptions of methods of torture used in that country, and a synopsis of current conditions and pertinent issues facing Iranian refugees. It discusses the country's current situation, including information about elections, women and discrimination, prisons and capitol punishment, and international sanctions.
