Abstract:

This two-page report informs service providers working with refugees from Honduras about the country's conditions. It provides a historical timeline (1539-2014), brief descriptions of methods of torture used in that country, and a synopsis of current conditions and pertinent issues facing Honduran refugees. It discusses the country's current situation, including information about the temporary protected status (TPS) of eligible nationals, unaccompanied minors, internally displaced persons, censorship, the economy, law and government, LGBTQI-identified persons, land disputes, and impunity for torture and human rights violations.
