Abstract:

This two-page report informs service providers working with refugees from Syria. It provides a historical timeline, brief descriptions of methods of torture used in that country, and a synopsis of current conditions and pertinent issues facing Syrian refugees. It discusses the country's current situation, including ongoing violence between opposition forces and the government, international displacement, human rights violations, internal and external actors fighting the Assad regime and each other, and widespread violations of children's rights.
