This six-page illustrated handout helps people prepare for a bronchoscopy, which is a test to look at the airways and lungs to diagnose lung disease. It provides tips to help the patient prepare for the test, and outlines how it works, explaining what will happen during each part of the test. The document discusses what will happen after the test, and lists those symptoms for which a doctor should be called, as well as symptoms for which 911 should be called immediately.
