HIV/AIDS - Prevention
This one-page handout with accompanying audio and video educates people about preventing the spread of HIV. It identifies three main ways that HIV is spread: through sexual activity, injection drug use, and mother-to-child. It discusses abstinence, being in a monogamous relationship, getting tested and knowing your partner's HIV status, and correct and consistent use of condoms. It examines how needles and syringes used to inject drugs, steroids, or for tattooing or piercing can spread the disease, and how a mother can transmit HIV to her baby.
