Abstract:

This four-page handout educates women about exercising during a normal healthy pregnancy. It recommends that women who are pregnant talk to their doctor before starting an exercise program. It provides general guidelines and tips to help pregnant women exercise safely. The document identifies particular exercises they should do, and clarifies what kinds of exercises they should avoid.
